What more could you want from Target?

Marcus:

Oh, really? So you just go and deny my request to work remotely?

William Jeffery:

What? Do you have the COVID? No. Okay, well then why do you need to report? What how do you even work remotely? If we're already remote? I don't understand.

Marcus:

Oh, well, I mean, cuz like, the metaphors, aren't we? is head of both boxes, not in the metaverse what? The Metaverse

William Jeffery:

the Facebook page. Yeah. He quit Facebook to

Marcus:

create his own reality. Yeah. Well, it's part of the metaverse is the name of the pirate parent company. Palmer said pirate company because they still use information. But the parent companies and you know, Facebook is just a subsidiary, but the metaverse it's

William Jeffery:

you cannot create your own reality. What the way that reality works is that it is the same for everyone. You can't just make up a new one. This is not the matrix.

Marcus:

Did you tell at the port POTUS 45 Because he made up all types of things. He was delusional. Most delusional people make up their own reality.

William Jeffery:

Yeah, but he did that on Earth. Right during in for our presidency for net, unfortunately, at but it wasn't in a you know, parallel universe. It happened here in this reality. It wasn't a bit like, you know, EA Sports be the president.

Marcus:

Oh, that'd be amazing. Maybe you can do that in the metaverse

William Jeffery:

not didn't work out. They tried it with coaching for the NFL. They made three of them. They sold two copies, and they didn't make any more. I guess you should introduce. I'm pretty sure this Metaverse game is gonna suck too. I'm well, and I like reality. Well, I don't really like reality. It's the only one I have, right. It's what I function in

Marcus:

those drafts. Hey, I'm Marcus and I'm running to be your president of the metaverse.

William Jeffery:

You just buy a copy. Everyone's the president of their own video game. Now. That's not

Marcus:

exactly how I explained during the intro

William Jeffery:

about the video game. I got plenty of video games. The kids got switches. We're playing Super Smash Brothers on lot cloud. I'm playing Final Fantasy seven and 10 years. Maybe I'm taking him to the metaverse hitting people in the face with a giant sword. Refreshing Yeah, I'm gonna do that I'm gonna go get cloud so I guess I don't think cloud loud in the metaphor. I think it's a copyright rule. This I think it's similar to the Spider Man, Avengers issue. I don't think I think they got the rights in the Smash Brothers. And that was enough. CO game cross mingling. So Metaverse pending, but I don't care. You know, they think 75 No, I didn't buy that game on social media right? On Instagram.

Marcus:

Okay, so if the shows on Instagram, which is IE, I mean, that's wrong. Eg

William Jeffery:

easy like the game store. I used to work there. Ah, no, that was Gamestop eg he wanted to work at EB but by the time I got the job, it was Gamestop

Marcus:

that's not what I meant. Anyways, for example, is our media is part of

William Jeffery:

can you buy it used? Or like do you have to raise your profile?

Marcus:

So people are joining the Met. You're not that old. You're on social media. I'm not how are you? Not like even

William Jeffery:

Why would I care about a metaphor? Like I played the Sims already? I don't need it in 4k. That's what it sounds like to me. Yeah, it was on steroids. It's virtual reality. I have no interest in I have to reality children. I have to have time to be raised them in the metaverse. No, no, I can't.

Marcus:

I mean, they're gonna be in the metaverse eventually.

William Jeffery:

Not if I have anything to say about it. We're stopping at Roblox

Marcus:

once they become teenagers want to venture out because all their friends are gonna be in the metaverse just like social media.

William Jeffery:

Yeah, I can't wait for them to want to be teenagers and want to be a bit that makes a whole lot of sense. I'm hoping that they'll play a sport and not have time to get versions of themselves in the metaverse. No, no buy in real life where avatar in the metaverse you buy that in literally every video game, right like you are explaining the features of Tony Hawk Pro Skater one right now. I am not impressed by any means. I played this game already. Just the graphics weren't as good. I mean, so boring. I don't understand 20 years ago because I don't want to play the metaverse game. Well, you said it's like the major. I would rather just play 2k You can and the metaphor is I want to play on my sofa at home. You can in the metaverse

Marcus:

on Earth man like you are on earth but the real reality is in the middle And you know,

William Jeffery:

God is on earth. The Metaverse is on a server. Like all the other video games, it's not special. Because it's a video game like any other video game. It's just

Marcus:

you don't want to be you don't want to play virtual reality video games, they play Call of Duty

William Jeffery:

The only reason it's special is the equivalent of like, if if Elon Musk made a Tesla video game, that's why it's important because of who made it it's just a video game. That's it that's all all you can you can customize your avatar in literally every single game. You can do it for your profile, like avatar in the Apple like game works thing you got a game profile right it's like a you know like a it's almost like a meat right for the for Nintendo. And there's another thing you can customize. You just need to customize something is a free? Yes. It doesn't cost money to make a me on the um, the old person. Wow.

Marcus:

Cuz it's like exclusivity.

William Jeffery:

It's just your Nintendo. Hear me out. The whole family has one. Yes. Hear

Marcus:

me out. Head above hypocrisy. Hoodie. In the metaverse. You charge people$1,000 for their avatar can have a one of a kind. Headed behind proximity.

William Jeffery:

Sure, I will participate if they give me 1000 Earth dollars for an eight bit. Hoodie. Yeah, no, of course. I mean, that's fine. You use

Marcus:

real world dollars to purchase things in the metaverse. Yeah,

William Jeffery:

that's how world Warcraft made all that money. Yeah, I had they had a whole incap it at Best Buy just game cards at that. And that's why I didn't play that game not to spend $30 a week to be a gargoyle in the forest. On another verse. I could be why don't I just go to the world Warcraft verse than I could be a wizard. I can't be a wizard in this. I gotta be. I gotta be me. But yeah, you don't want to do that. I could be me anyway. I mean, you have to be me. You have no choice. You can get tattoos. I already have tattoos. Why would I get

Marcus:

oh, well, you're always wearing your head above policy that you can never see him.

William Jeffery:

Yeah, well, you know, I'm waiting. That's gonna be a special day. But I'll do the topless show. And then we can examine the tattoos but until then,

Marcus:

we could. Hey, hey, hey, look, you know, challenge Kevin Durant to an NBA game. Do you know I bought tickets? Okay. Do you know I bought tickets after that whole I had to go buy Laker tickets that put me in financial debt for you. So

William Jeffery:

we can get a settlement. And I'm going but thank you for that. You're welcome.

Marcus:

So I'm the New York Knicks. I mean, I'm sorry, Brooklyn Nets name now also have a net averse arena. That's right. Net time. With the end.

William Jeffery:

The all the teams went okay.

Marcus:

No, I mean, but no, you can watch real life players play in the virtual reality. Yeah, I do that like great camera angles

William Jeffery:

for 45 minutes before I fall asleep every night. Yeah, no, but I plan to play longer, but I just get tired and then wake up, man, you suck.

Marcus:

Right? But this is like, you're there watching the live game real NBA game from many angles. And all you have to do is pay a subscription. But like the point is, what's there. I don't

William Jeffery:

need to pay all like the art to play online to watch the game. I don't understand why when I watch somebody else play. You know. I don't want to watch somebody else play videos. I

Marcus:

feel like people are listening to this episode. And they're upset that you're not listening to the great financial and enjoyment people could have with the members.

William Jeffery:

I don't care if they enjoy it. I don't enjoy it. I do what you want. People do all kinds of people skydive. ride horses play with rhinoceros people do all sorts of silly things that I don't find entertaining at all. And they think it's you know, the bee's knees. And that's fine. No judgement. You want to have currency. If you want to take your opportunity to be literally anything you want to be in a video game and choose to be yourself again. Be my guest. Me. I'm a fly around shoot lasers out of my mind. You can do it if you buy a jetpack. No, no, I don't want to do any of that. I just want to put the game in and be able to do it. I'm not buying jetpacks and others, I'll just buy a Avengers game and pick who can fly

Marcus:

Ironman, but you're not insuring me. I think you're missing the whole point. You're not in the actual Universe. So you're gonna put the

William Jeffery:

goggles on and be punching in my living room. I mean, I don't I don't want that game either. I have enough space. And I have small children that don't listen, that is playing video games like okay, they come and ask me for juice right hook in the face. Now we're in the ER and Child Services all at the same time. Because you wanted me to be up to date on my video games. Just give me a controller let me fall asleep on the sofa. Yeah, but you wouldn't

Marcus:

be in Child Services and in trouble in the metaverse?

William Jeffery:

Yes, I would because then I'd have to convince them that I've been feeding them in the metaverse and not in reality and that's why it's okay that they're amazing. Is there real fat on the server?

Marcus:

Let me as long as a lot of screws available. I mean, by legally definition,

William Jeffery:

you know? Yeah. Okay. The next time Child Services shows up, you go with that defense and let's say who leaves with the kids. I'm just gonna go ahead and keep feeding my kids on earth until they're old enough to feed themselves. And then if they want to play on the metaverse, then they can move out, you know, earlier in not letting them waste my bandwidth and foolishness. Earlier now

Marcus:

their episodes tonight, the reason why I didn't want to bring this topic up, because I know you don't do well with science news and all that stuff. And Metaverse being science news, I figured you

William Jeffery:

science is the old video game in 4k, it is The Sims on a larger server with better graphics.

Marcus:

Everything that this would be tied in with like, a lot of the movies we grew up with, like Total Recall the matrix, like you said earlier, you know, I mean,

William Jeffery:

yeah,

Marcus:

I mean, it kind of sounds Ready Player One,

William Jeffery:

if you want to. But they made a video game for that too. Like, I don't need to buy a whole fake persona to pretend to be in and that's the thing you can get to be the main character, you just get to be in the matrix game in the matrix. So are we like It's like video game? Inception is stupid. Or duck in video games

Marcus:

as conspiracy people would say, so are we going into the matrix now?

William Jeffery:

No, it's a video game. Conspiracy theories? Would they would have you believe that we are in the matrix right already. So if you're playing a video game with it, you're just playing a game in the matrix. It's like going to the fair,

Marcus:

but this one, the matron Vince, people, like The Matrix is coming now?

William Jeffery:

No, because it's make believe. So hopefully, the people at least the people listening to this show, you know, can read it a high school level and, you know, process information, critical thinking skills, and realize that it's just a video game. But you know, it's okay, I play video games, just like white ones with a controller. I don't want the headset, and the Vert like that. All of that stuff is old, right, like 3d. It's not new technology. It's been around for at least since the 80s. Right? Like, they just keep making it better and incorporating the new definition. And with the 3d, like, none of this is new. It's just combining all of the old technology to create a super fancy Sims. I didn't like Sims, when I was 15. And everybody was playing it. I don't think I'm like it now. Like, I completely understand how it works. I'm not interested in it. Gotcha. And that's, you know, that's it. But you know, to convince me that it's another reality it's video game. It's an extravagant, souped up video game, but a video game nonetheless.

Marcus:

I mean, okay, so just hear me out. I know you're very adamant against with a limited

William Jeffery:

character selection. One more character. I just told you. I played Smash, but the game is got like 77. Yeah, I'm just saying like, you want to take some numbers, I get one bit character, you're able to take a solo vacation away from you? What's the life gauge? Like how many hit points? Do I have to go through dungeons to level up? Like, what happens if I fall off a cliff? You just leave? Like,

Marcus:

I hope you don't fall? Could you just live life? Right? life

William Jeffery:

ends if you fall off a cliff, but not in the metaverse. Would you just flow? Or do I have to pay to keep like, you just float off the cliff like well, you have to you know, refill your metaphors for being stupid and not staying on Earth? If you don't pay then you just got you suspended? I don't exactly this is a stupid video game. They haven't even thought out death. You know, there's no life gauge. No.

Marcus:

It's a video game.

William Jeffery:

I mean, games have. So they end. There's no ending to this, right? People will be losing a job because they're playing World Warcraft that the Facebook man made? Yes. Didn't he take enough of your time with Facebook? I mean, I'm not on social media. But now he wants you to commit your whole reality to his Facebook. Nah, man. I'm good. You got enough of my time on Instagram real is take up a good 2035 minutes of my day. I don't know man.

Marcus:

Forbes said it's gonna be an amazing advancement for consumers.

William Jeffery:

Right? Because anything digital, you can spend money on people to understand is, is it's a bubble waiting to burst. People float a whole bunch of money into it. Because it's new. It's like, it's like the NFT craze. It's like Kryptos like anything else digital that you can spend on or invest in. There's going to be a whole lot of money up front. And it'll plateau eventually but yeah, of course people are gonna spend money on getting the Facebook kid they everybody wants thinks that till do another Facebook. So they want to get it on the ground level of his Metaverse game and that's fine. Maybe it will do well. People like to play I play games just not like that. Because I want to be somebody else. I want to be a superhero. I want to be basketball team. I want to I don't know, I want to bowl as a character with no fingers and spheres for arms. The me's really just not a lot of effort. But you can make a lot of funny faces. But again, Zelda I want to ride a horse with the sword. I don't want to just be myself in a bit. 4k Metaverse vision or whatever the pixelation. I don't know the statistics but I have no interest in being myself digitally. I Myself I that I like to think that I am on Earth consistently today. I don't I'm an old man, right? Like I don't have to fake default for nobody. I'm a parent of two children a husband of one. I don't have time to be multiple people. I don't even have time to get proper sleep so there's no time for me to you know, play roles and costumes and keep track of storylines and stuff like I don't I don't remember my shows I watch let alone keeping up with you know, a whole nother persona so I'm me. In reality on Earth. I don't have time to be me on video. I don't even finish the video games the sofa normal video games I played through half of everyone I had I finished the last I think I did feel fine finished Final Fantasy seven the remake that I did finish that the cloud is getting a lot of shout outs is going on. That's the last game I played and now all that I'm playing Smash Brothers with kids. But you know, I don't need to be in Smash Brothers as myself hoping that there is not a death if I fall off the stage right? Like I don't

Marcus:

so basically you're saying you'd be left behind? And you're okay with that

William Jeffery:

left behind on earth while everyone else stays on Earth in plays this video game yeah, sure. That's fine. Leave me behind would mean left behind where where's the certain point you have to go to space to play the metaphor?

Marcus:

No, it's becomes a certain point in life where you're old, I guess. Yeah, no, but I know like knee problems. I mean the fact when it's just like you don't understand what young people are doing. This is something obviously young people have

William Jeffery:

not understood what do you not understand my position on mumble rap? I hate their music that dress out remember cross colors we none of this is new we did bright colors and all sorts of we did well no they're doing the drugs knew that they got that a lot they were Yeah No no, I just had like three right now it was

Marcus:

you know no and Molly's and all this I don't even know what they're doing

William Jeffery:

I just cocaine is I think every has a doctor prescribes whatever the grabbers suggest I don't know but they got to drugs online but I you know, I don't I'm not getting left behind. I am maturing trees don't get left behind you know, they grow deeper roots and get larger, right that's I'm just my roots are deepening

Marcus:

and mature things like, like grapes, they turned into to wine.

William Jeffery:

Right grapes. The other ones just spoil but you know, the immature people I guess now I'm just put like, you know, I get it that you you there comes a point when you're not up to what's hip and I have no desire to be hip I'm about to be 41 I'm be 39 I don't know I might be 39 by the time he gets here this very soon I will be 39 and then I can say I'm about to be 40 but I'm too old to be worried about keeping up with what children are doing. Like I'm I'm up to date on what five and six year olds are doing. You know, I know that Kirby is having a resurgence

Marcus:

Okay, man you like video games?

William Jeffery:

Oh, my daughter. Our daughter has a giant Kirby plush. Oh, and the son has got the the Mario chomp plan. Like they have those you can get the plushes it stores now like we went to Best Buy and bought it legit. I'm telling the I know what kids my age the kids my that I have age. terrible sins, right? I know what children my children's age are doing. I don't have teenagers interested in the metaverse, preteens whoever are like what they're into. They're entering the Nintendo Switch phase of gaming. If I tried to drop them into Metaverse, they would get frustrated, right like they get upset with Roblox when they you know, they can't figure out the puzzle, right? Whatever. 10 years from now, we tried to get them play Minecraft. I was told us that we the whole family was confused and frustrated. The kids wanted to play the way that like the YouTube video players do. And we're not their only server. Yeah. But my wife got on. She was like, We got to get a server and it costs this now. I'm not spending all this money and kids have left the room now. They're playing with Legos. We're trying to sign on mine. I'm not why would we couldn't get on Minecraft. We don't we have no business in the metaverse and I'm okay we call me old leave me behind here on Earth in reality fine. You know what, I will be a target buying pants that you know, it's fine. Do they have a target in the metaverse? I don't know. I bet you they don't you know where they have one down the street from the house that's where you can find me.

Marcus:

Well you know, something they may be able to find.

William Jeffery:

One day they can find our hoodies and target I can't wait until you can get ahead above hypocrisy they got black history month. hoodies and T shirts they got they have they had like every target tries to be very cultural really sensitive, it seems like every month, there's a different culture that they're celebrating black history like Spanish to Mexican, that's something else. But they, they come with it when at least at the one by my house, the cultural representation, so I got to see if I might just start leaving hoodies on the hoodie, not even order a whole bunch for myself and just leave it there in the front. Right? Like I'm black. Eventually, you know, as I keep living, I'm making history. So I could just leave them there in February. And you know, I'm gonna put on one of them like, you know, real official Dickie suits, Dolly in there, put some stacks and boxes up like yeah, I got delivered here. Target to Black History Month boxes, I'll just leave it don't worry. It's fine. I'll sign for it.

Marcus:

And after your 10 hour shift at Target, you would have sold no shirts or no sweat.

William Jeffery:

No hoodies, I wouldn't know why we're not told he's not marketing them. But it says the name right on the hoodie. That you're working. Maybe I'm working. You said that target

Marcus:

Yes. You just said you be putting away boxes and stuff. No,

William Jeffery:

that's the goal with this guy is just to get the clothes on the rack didn't leave me just not a Levi's representative at Target making sure people buys jeans man like that. You drop the product off and hope itself Oh, that's how retail works.

Marcus:

No, buy anything I just send people to buy for me. Or I have a sentence from Amazon. They're drones.

William Jeffery:

And they tell you that the Levi's representative or the Adidas representative or the mots representative, would you buy your applesauce? Like what? Why would I wait around with my hoodies at the store? They're being sold on insurance. I could only sell one set of hoodies at one store. What if I want to sell it to targets maximize your profitability? So you want me to clone myself? Now in order to sell hoodies? I think that they couldn't the metaverse is one way I couldn't you know why because there's no target there. So as I said, you can catch me on earth in reality at Target. You can also catch me on Instagram at head above bagasse I'm not completely internet averse. I just am not you know reality averse either. We saw this didn't this didn't go well. For inception. Right like people were in Inception verse. And they lost connection with the the universe and they were just in a dungeon asleep on IVs playing the metaverse game. I does not if that's being left behind. I'm good. I'm gonna be here on Earth. Getting the shots up dropping these episodes for y'all. Maybe I'll release a metaphors version. I don't know how audio works there. But you know, you know where to find me on earth on all streaming platforms. So you know it's it's internet based. I just It's I don't understand the the fascination with the the reinvention of old things and making them new. I just I have yet to see the difference between this and Sims. It's just not it's it's Sims on steroids. But it's the exact same concept. It's but I guess it's service but you got to where is it 3d? Do you have to wear the goggles? That's I guess part I don't understand. Is it a controller? Like how do you enter the metaverse or is there this? Is it is it full on? You gotta get a portal I remember back in like the 2000s when they were trying to do like motion based gaming they had this thing to put down like this octagon. You do move can't was supposed to read? Do you get a move octagon for the metaverse you can do dance move like I just I think something's conceptually need to remain separate like I think the the fun of video games is escaping reality not placing myself in a you know a virtual reality of reality like that just It's pointless I just I can just go outside and do all the things right like if I'm if I'm going to take the time play a video game or do something extraordinary on the dragon I want to you know I want to control the NBA team and control the NFL team I want to I want to you know go on a mission whatever the Call of Duty is or doing these down what if it's present day if they're doing the old time you must get called duties and I don't know what to do it but I want to do stuff like that right like I don't shoot guns and rural I'm not about that life so but you know on the on the the ps4 or the Xbox or whatever you can cat you know I shoot anybody in face right? Like I get to I can you do that in the metaverse? Am I gonna get Metaverse arrested like I don't I can if if I am bound by similar rules in reality on this game then why am I even playing it? Right like the whole point of for me to play a game is to escape reality. I don't need reality deductions. I feel like if you do you need like more hobbies, right? Like I feel like this is something about your reality. If you're trying to recreate it, you know, elsewhere, right, like work, I think that more work needs to be done real time before you take time to build your metaverse. If like that's if that's where you think that you know, you can be yourself because you can be yourself here. No one's telling you you can't. If you feel you can't, then you know, come Come check us out. I will be here to let you be yourself. That is one of the many things that you can do here head above piracy. You can speak your mind. I will tell you when you're wrong, though. So you know, be prepared for that. But you know, just don't be wrong and you don't have to hear. That's what I do. Give me the microphone, because I'm never wrong, right. Oh, no, I'm kidding. Well, on that note, have a good time. I'll catch you here on earth. You will not see me in the metaverse. But you can hit the website on the internet. You know, get yourself a mug or a hoodie or something. Catch up on old episodes, that kind of thing. But yeah, that you'd have to do that on Earth from your sofa, or wherever your computer's located. And I'll have to get back to you on how to enter the metaverse. I wonder if it's like the line in which in the wardrobe like you got to go through a closet and Aslan guard you guide you to the Goat Man in the Turkish delights to the Turkish delights in the metaverse I bet you ain't got no Turkish Delight. Now I got a target. They don't have Turkish Delight saying got Assalam o man. Yeah, this Metaverse games why I'd rather that's terrible. I would rather play The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe than the meta first, because at least there's a talking line. And on that note, I think that's been my go before. What are the metaphors hive? Is it like the other beyond the metaverse? People like the Beyonce fans that they will come after me? Am I going to get digitally attached? We know what they can come after me, right? They're gonna be busy on the metaverse. They don't go they don't know notice. Or there'll be real upset. That'd be that'd be just talking all kinds of mad shit on the metaverse. Oh man will stupid podcasts. He's over on Earth talking. He don't know. We're over here not flying, building regular houses in these you know, 4k graphics is great. You know? So what I live in my basement at home. Now, okay. All right. I'm sorry. The Metaverse is great. I'll see you next time talking about they got real food cheaper
